Stevenage Innings |
| Report: Stevenages visit to Langleybury in the Saracens Hertfordshire Premier League ended in a draw when the match finished early due to heavy rain. However , Stevenage had already accumulated 15 bonus points and if the weather had held off were confident of a second successive win. Stevenages strong position was due to their new batting sensation , South African , Stuart McConnachie. His 98 had veteran Ian Baker drawling over whether he had seen a better innings in his 26 years with the club. McConnachies 50 came in 63 balls and his whole innings only lasted 121 balls. This was against high quality bowling of minor county players O.Reilly and Jerome. Baker himself scored 53 . The other player who had a good game was Amit Dattanni, his 21 not out was followed by a promising 3 wickets with more to come.
