STEVENAGE CRICKET CLUB - CLUB MARK & FOCUS CLUB ACCREDITED.

In 2005 SCC achieved the prestigious ECB and Sport England - Clubmark Standard. The Clubmark Standard is awarded in recognition of standards in: duty of care and child welfare, coaching and competition, sports equity and ethics, club management and development. Various Club Policies and Codes of Conduct have been introduced over a period of time with the aim of setting and integrating safety & welfare standards throughout the Club. The present standards apply to playing members, volunteers, social members and where relevant visitors. The present standards are also set to ensure the promotion and implementation of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) ‘Welfare of Young People in Cricket’ Policy – named ‘Safe Hands’ at Club level, and that the wide range of activities carried out by the Club are undertaken in a safe manner and without risk to those involved.
