The Hertfordshire Charley Cricket Programme for U10 - U12 age groups is open to all players who have experienced (or are at least ready for) hard ball cricket and have played a minimum of one season of competitive cricket at a Hertfordshire-based club. Players need to be able to meet all the fundamental skills of cricket (ie bowl consistently with a straight arm) and have a knowledge of the rules of cricket.

There is no requirement for a club nomination or trial.

As Charley Cricket is the start of the Hertfordshire Performance Pathway players must qualify by playing for a cricket club in Hertfordshire which is also affiliated to Hertfordshire Cricket.

We will initially allocate the players to groups based on their age and monitor their progress over the course of the winter.

Players are not permitted to be taking part in, or trialling for, any other County programmes (including County Age Groups; Middlesex district/borough; Essex area; Beds Hotshots; Bucks junior Pathway)

NOTE: The Hertfordshire Area programme is not linked to Hertfordshire Cricket, is a private organisation, and does not lead to the County Pathway and as such is not part of the restrictions above.

Autumn Term 1
All sessions last 55 minutes to allow for changeover between groups.
Monday - Rickmansworth School, (U11s and U12s) Rickmansworth
Monday – Leventhorpe School (U11 and U12s), Sawbridgeworth
Tuesday – Chancellors School, Brookmans Park, Potters Bar
Wednesday – Kingshott School, Hitchin
Thursday – Verulam School, St Albans (U11s only)
Thursday – Chancellors School, Brookmans Park, Potters Bar (U12s only)
Due to a lack of capacity, we are unable to offer all age groups at every venue.  Above is our proposed schedule but this may be subject to change depending upon the number of applications we receive.

No payment is required at the time of Application

Please note we expect to receive a lot of applications which may result in some venues being full.  We still start processing applications from Monday 12 August to allow time for forms to be submitted. Payment requests will be sent once spaces are allocated.  Where venues are oversubscribed players may be offered their second-choice venue or placed on the waiting list for if a space becomes available later in the winter.
