Redbourn won toss and elected to bat with the sun shinning.
Phil and Suman opened the bowling and quickly had Redbourn in trouble taking 4 wickets reducing Redbourn 43 - 4 after 15 overs. Redbourn then had a good stand of 88 from skipper Lennox and Roe and a stand of 58 Lennox and Oriel to take them to 189 - 6. Some tight bowling and excellent fielding kept them to a below par score of 200 on an excellent batting wicket. Wickets were shared around with Suman being the outstanding bowler taking 4-22 off his 10 overs and Roy had a great day wicket keeping taking 2 catches and a stumping.
Stevenage opened there batting with Anjani and Juju they faced a fiery opening spell from Redbourn’s opening bowlers but managed to see us to 36 for the loss of only 1 wicket after 13 overs Juju making 22 from 54 balls. Anjani was joined at the crease by Arunesh taking us to 118 when Arunesh was out for 45 from 48 balls. Roy was next to join Anjani, after a shaky start Roy started to middle the ball well scoring 32 from 44 balls. Stevenage kept pace with run rate well. Anjani was next out for an excellent 51 from 90 balls. Praveen joined Roy at the crease and calmly taking Stevenage to 188 when Roy was out. Praveen saw us home ending not out 33* from 44 balls with 2.4 overs to spare.
A great all round team performance against top of the table Redbourn.
