In our first friendly of 2022, a side full of 5's & 6's players hosted Hatfield and Crusaders 3's at King Georges. Stevenage won the toss and chose to bowl first, and after a tough start managed to reduce Hatfield to 153-8. A counter attacking 50 from their number 9 batsman got them over 200, leaving them on 222-9 from their 40 overs. Special mention to a great bowling spell from Andrew Elder, who got 2 wickets and had a couple more dropped off his bowling.
Stevenage then batted and were up against it from the start, falling to 37-5, after some great catches from the opposition. Eventually we were all out for 78 with Max Peebles top scoring with 15 runs.
